According to PayScale, the median pay for welders that have from one to four years of experience tucked under their belts is about $14 per hour. Welders with five to nine years of experience, on the other hand, receive a salary of $16.95 per hour. For welders whose experience is from 10 to 19 years, the average salary is $16.52, a slight drop. However, things get much better once again for welders who have at least 20 years of experience in the field, as they are able to command an average salary of $22.98. It is a significant jump, which only goes to show how much the various industries that employ welders value the extensiveness of their experience in welding, which totally makes sense.
