The primary considerations for choosing a career these days are essentially the same. Those are the opportunities presented by that specific career choice, and the financial possibilities that are also present. It has always been the case when people are selecting the specific careers that they would like to pursue for the rest of their lives. A lot of thought should be given to making that choice since it would definitely impact the life of the individual and those who are around him. Wisdom and common sense should be equally employed, with some element of practicality to ensure that you arrive at the perfect decision.
When I was making my very own decision about the career that I would like to pursue, I based my decision more on practicality than the other considerations. Since I based my decision on practical reasons, I chose welding as my career. It was my interest ever since I was in high school and I also have an uncle who is a welder. Basically, it was an easy and natural decision for me and one that I have not regretted so far. I’m enjoying my career as a welder and I am also earning well enough to support my needs. And there’s nothing extravagant when it comes to my needs, just the simple and usual ones. But the point is that my welding career is able to meet my needs and that I love what I do for a living.
Which is the Best?
There are many different kinds of welders and there are many welding jobs available out there. But there are those asking the question about the best welding jobs that are available today for those who are also looking at a career in welding. If we are going strictly by salaries when defining the best, then we should start with the average salary. By average, welders earn about $37,000.00 per year. That figure is from Indeed.com and based on 2008 figures. Well that is the average, but the top earning welder jobs are certainly a little more than that. The welders who are involved in gas metal arc welding jobs earn something from $49,000.00 to $56,000.00 each year. Robotic welder programmers are earning a bit higher at about $59,000.00 annually. Welders that are into metal fabrication earn still even higher, going through an apprenticeship process that allows them to develop their skills and get much better jobs later on. The average annual salary of welder fabricators reaches around $65,000.00.
